This group will be open to parents in Minnesota and any PSYPACT state (list of states included here: https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).
Here are the details:
➡️ Target Audience: Parents of children with ADHD, ages 6-10.
➡️ Format: Virtual group sessions.
➡️ Topics Covered: Practical parenting strategies and interventions for kids with ADHD. Ability to connect with other parents navigating parenting a child with ADHD. Topics include:
Understand ADHD: Learn about brain differences, executive functioning challenges, and how ADHD can present differently in girls versus boys.
Learn why traditional parenting strategies often fall short for kids with ADHD—and what works instead: Explore effective interventions tailored to ADHD-specific needs.
Support your child in managing strong emotions: Discover strategies to help your child regulate and express feelings in healthy ways.
Foster connection through play: Use play to strengthen your bond and promote positive interactions.
Combine praise, rewards, and limits: Create a home environment with clear expectations, consistent feedback, and positive reinforcement.
➡️ Cost: $100 per session, per family.
➡️ Schedule: Wednesdays from 12-1 pm CST, starting in April/May (exact start date TBD).
